19 März In the streets at night

…den Aquarellfarbkasten aufgeklappt und einfach mal gemacht. Freestyle aus dem Kopf heraus. Wieder eine Übung mehr… Da wird in absehbarer Zeit noch einiges mehr folgen. Erst jetzt für mich entdeckt, stelle ich fest das Aquarellfarben, in ihrem Mischverhalten und ihrer Farbbrillianz ein großes Spektrum an Möglichkeiten bieten. Ich glaube ich habe gerade ein neues Lieblingsmedium entdeckt. Das Straßenleben mit dem VEB Toasterfachgeschäft. Ein weiteres Stück „Ostalgie“, allerdings mit mehr Farbe als in den 80er Jahren. Dazu gewürfelt die nächtliche Atmosphäre nach einem kurzen Regenschauer in den leergefegten Straßen der tristen Kleinstadt. Ich drehe noch ne Runde und genieße die Ruhe der Nacht.

I’ve only just discovered that watercolours offer a wide range of possibilities in terms of their mixing properties and colour brilliance. I think I have just discovered a new favourite medium. Street life with the VEB toaster shop. Another piece of ‘Ostalgie’, but with more colour than in the 80s. Add to that the night-time atmosphere after a brief rain shower in the empty streets of the dreary small town. I go for another walk and enjoy the peace and quiet of the night.
